What we collect

This website does not require you to create an account and does not ask for personal information to browse it. If you contact us through the site or by phone, we collect what you choose to tell us — typically your name, phone number, email address, and the reason you got in touch.

The appointment form on our contact page asks for your name and phone number, and optionally your email, when you are usually free, and anything you would like us to know. It is emailed straight to our office and is not stored on this website or in any database. We ask you not to put medical details in it, and the form says so: email is not a private channel, and we would rather take that history when we speak to you.

Our web host records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Like most websites, this one may use cookies and similar technologies to see how it is being used and whether our advertising reaches people looking for a dentist. Tools like these report things such as which pages were visited, which links were clicked, and the general area a visitor is in. They are run by companies such as Google and Meta, which receive that information and handle it under their own privacy policies.

We draw a hard line at your health information. We do not send your name, contact details, appointment requests, or anything about your dental history, your treatment, or the care you were reading about to any analytics or advertising company — and we do not permit them to combine what they collect here with your patient record. If we measure how many people get in touch through this site, what gets counted is that it happened — never who you are, and never anything you typed. We do not use tools that record what you enter into the form.

This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

How we use it

Information you send us is used to respond to you, to schedule and provide dental care, to handle billing and insurance, and to meet our legal and professional obligations. We do not use it for anything else without telling you.

We may share information with third parties who help us operate — for example our web host, our practice management software, or your insurance carrier when you ask us to bill them. They are permitted to use it only to provide that service.

Your health information

Your dental records are protected health information under HIPAA and are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at the practice and can request a copy of at any time. That notice, not this page, is the authority on how your medical record is handled.

Please do not send medical details, insurance numbers, or anything sensitive through a website form or ordinary email. Email is not a secure channel. Call us at (978) 663-3010 instead.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information we are not required to retain. Dental records are subject to legal retention periods, so we cannot always delete those on request.

Most browsers let you refuse or clear cookies, and this site works without them. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any advertising cookies. You can also opt out at the source through Google’s Ads Settings and Meta’s ad preferences.

Some browsers send an older Do Not Track signal as well. We do not act on that one, and we would rather tell you so than let you assume otherwise — the standard was never settled, and no two sites ever treated it the same way. Global Privacy Control is the signal we do act on, and it is the one with legal weight behind it.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13. We do of course treat children as patients — that information is provided by a parent or guardian at the practice and is handled as protected health information.
